War 2 is a tedious action drama that tries to blend old-school flair with modern spy elements, but ultimately fails to deliver. It begins on a promising note, with a Japanese backdrop and an intriguing setup—though the action in this segment already feels unconvincing. From there, it steadily loses steam due to sluggish pacing, weak screenplay, and underwhelming visual effects. The second half offers no standout moments worth remembering. The music works in a few instances but elsewhere feels random and fails to enhance the scenes. Hrithik Roshan’s undeniable screen presence and charisma are the film’s biggest strengths. Jr NTR, while attempting to match him, is let down by a poorly written character—reminiscent of his routine role in Devara. Kiara Advani is confined to a glamour role with minimal scope.
