Tuner lands somewhere between a romantic drama and a low-key heist thriller, never fully committing to either identity yet managing to remain watchable throughout. Director Daniel Roher crafts a measured narrative that unfolds at an unhurried pace, allowing the story’s undercurrents and suspense elements to coexist rather than compete. While the film occasionally struggles to define what it ultimately wants to be, it avoids collapsing under the weight of its ambitions. At the center are Leo Woodall and Havana Rose Liu, whose performances bring warmth and credibility to a piano-infused backdrop.
