Together
“Together” is a unique body horror film that’s both intriguing and baffling, making it a mixed experience overall. Dave Franco and Alison Brie completely nail their characters, and their on-screen chemistry is genuinely applause-worthy. Right from the beginning, the film throws in sudden jump scares that catch you off guard(it worked on me). Scenes that build tension about what might happen next. However, the narrative slows down at times with a more subtle and deliberate pace — something that might not work for everyone. What makes it baffling is that the film never explains why things are happening. There’s no exploration of the bizarre elements — it just presents them as they already exist, expecting the viewers to go along with it. The cinematography and sound design are top-notch. A few shots stand out brilliantly — especially the pond scene during Dave Franco’s first visit. Just wow.
