They Call Him OG
The film rides high on poor-quality visuals, loud and jarring sound design, middling action, and soulless emotion. If you’re a fan, don’t cuss me — I’m equally disappointed as a Pawan Kalyan fan. This is first and foremost a missed opportunity from Sujeeth. As a fanboy and filmmaker, he had every chance to deliver something big. Instead, he chose the safe route — and still failed. Pawan Kalyan — the firestorm — commands the screen with his presence, gets some fan-boy elevation shots, but is ultimately both over-utilized and underutilized. The rest of the cast is just fine, never truly impactful — including Emraan Hashmi’s Omi. “Elevation” scenes make sense only when they emerge organically from drama. But when they’re inserted just because a prominent actor is on screen, it’s trash. OG repeatedly falls into this trap.
