The Super Mario Galaxy Movie feels like a quiet continuation of the earlier The Super Mario film. It expands the Mario universe, making it feel bigger and more imaginative. The visuals are truly impressive. The animation, environments, and character designs are all top-quality, and the team behind them deserves a lot of appreciation for their work. However, the main issue lies in the story. The narrative is very simple and doesn’t offer much depth. Many of the funny moments didn’t work well for me, although a few scenes did manage to bring a smile. A large portion of the movie focuses on dialogue, and when action scenes finally appear, they feel too short and leave you wanting more. That said, the movie can still be enjoyable for its stunning visuals, light humor, and occasional action. It is mainly aimed at families and younger audiences. Otherwise, it may not be a must-watch and can easily be saved for a casual viewing on digital platforms.
