The Shadow Strays
The Shadow Strays packs a punch with its action, but the excitement is dulled by a plot that's weighed down by melodrama.I was excited for this film from the moment I saw the poster, teaser, and trailer, expecting a solid plot paired with intense action. While the action lived up to the hype, the plot felt so routine that it didn’t even take itself seriously.The film could’ve easily been trimmed down, but #TimoTjahjanto’s direction was so focused on intricate details and unnecessary connections, only to ultimately zero in on the ‘Shadows Organization’ by the end. These complexities end up feeling wasted.If you don’t mind a routine plot and are in it for the gory action, this might be your kind of film.
