The Housemaid feels like a refreshing change— a sweet yet twisty revenge drama that knows exactly what it wants to be. It begins with an interesting note, patiently builds its environment and characters, and never rushes the process. That slow setup pays off, leading to a conclusion that feels satisfying, at least for this viewer (that's me). The lead actors (Sydney Sweeney, Brandon Sklenar, Amanda Seyfried) lean into the moral gray areas of their characters, never forcing sympathy or villainy. Their restrained, layered acting adds credibility, making even questionable choices feel believable. Together they justify the characters’ actions and motivations in a convincing way.
