The Brutalist
The Brutalist is phenomenal in its making—the cinematography, the score, and the performances from Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce, Felicity Jones, and others are all top-notch. It has quite the narrative, sprinkled with smirk-worthy humor here and there, but the storytelling remains mostly slow-paced. To be honest, it could’ve been better. Lingering shots of roads, railway tracks, or cars moving endlessly aren’t beautiful cinema—they’re just indulgences filmmakers take, making the audience watch nothing for extended seconds.
