Sore: A Wife from the Future is a beautiful Indonesian romantic drama. The movie uses a time-loop element, a sidekick to the story. While watching it, I felt confused at times, yet the film still managed to give me a warm, comforting experience. Sheila Dara Aisha—what a performer. She’s absolutely stunning in this role. The way she plays Sore, carrying different emotions so effortlessly throughout the film, really impressed me. Honestly, I don’t think this movie would have worked the same way if she wasn’t the lead. She completely carries it. Coming to the direction and storytelling—I loved how the film was shot. The cinematography is beautiful, and many shots feel like perfectly framed pictures. The movie moves at its own pace, slow and steady, and it feels intentional, like this is exactly where the story wants to go.
