Send Help (directed by Sam Raimi) is a survival psychological drama-thriller that definitely tests your patience. It has a few strong moments, but they come at a cost—you feel the film dragging its feet, almost like it’s asking you to endure the experience rather than enjoy it. And much like the characters in the story, you quickly realize no one is coming to rescue you from this slow burn… you have to sit through it yourself. On the technical side, the film does a lot right. Except for a few noticeable CGI shots, it looks impressive. The visuals are sharp, the effects work well, and the sound design adds a solid layer of immersion. From a craft perspective, it’s clear effort has gone in.
