Pushpa 2 - The Rule
While marketed as a grandeur sequel, #Pushpa2 leans more towards being a decent action drama than an epic. The films opens with an over powered action sequence, featuring a couple of whistle worthy moments, but transition abruptly into the present without much explanation, made me think if the opening scene made any sense ? The 1st half flows with comedy, decent drama and feels mediocre, evoking an “okay” response. However, the 2nd half shifts gears with high-octane scenes & #AlluArjun’s power packed performance, elevating the film to new heights. That said, pacing issues persist, even in this stronger half. #RashmikaMandanna as #Srivalli is great, boosts the narrative when required with her limited role. On the technical front, dialogue clarity was an issue. Whether due to theater audio or the last-minute mixing, it’s unclear to say. There were also noticeable sync and dubbing issues.
