One Battle After Another
It’s been quite a while since One Battle After Another was released, and during that time it even went on to win several Oscars, including Best Picture. I had actually started watching it when it first became available digitally, but I only got halfway through and never finished it back then. I decided to watch the entire film from start to finish, and overall, I’d describe it as a pretty watchable drama by Paul Thomas Anderson. The performances are a major highlight—actors like Sean Penn, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, and Benicio Del Toro all deliver strong, engaging work. The storyline itself is fairly straightforward, but the way it’s presented is very much in Anderson’s signature style. It’s a slow, gradual build rather than something fast-paced.
