Novocaine is Jack Quaid’s passable action comedy that doesn’t take itself too seriously — and neither should you. The film breezes along until the bank robbery, and once the twist drops around the one-hour mark, that’s when you start checking the time. From there, it slips into routine territory — the initial intrigue of the protagonist not feeling pain wears off quickly, and the rest offers little to keep you hooked.
