This one's a good sci-fi drama from Parasite director Bong Joon Ho. Starring Robert Pattinson as the ‘expendable’ Mickey Barnes, the film is a visual treat—something you can just sit back and enjoy, making it an easily watchable experience.While the concept of colonizing a different planet isn’t exactly new, even in this film—the way Mickey 17 handles its narrative feels fresh. It doesn’t try too hard to push groundbreaking ideas, instead leaning into familiar sci-fi themes with ease. That said, Mark Ruffalo’s character feels a bit distracting or irritating at times—almost pulling focus away from Mickey’s otherwise engaging narrative. It’s the one element I felt could’ve been handled better or even trimmed down.
