Metro… In Dino flows on the blueprint of Life in a Metro (2007), not a direct sequel, but very much in the same spirit, updated to suit present-day dynamics. Let’s start with what could’ve been better. The second half stands out as the film’s weaker link. As the narrative keeps adding layers, it begins to feel like it’s dragging rather than progressing — almost as if it’s resisting its own momentum. This gradual slowdown is the biggest indicator of where the film starts losing its rhythm. Tied to that is the runtime. At 2 hours 40 minutes, the film feels stretched. A tighter cut, say around 2 hours could’ve been better, especially with how much of the storytelling already leans into the musical format. Speaking of which, the musical structure is both a strength and a setback. While I personally liked the music, some dialogues folded into the songs felt diluted and pulled away emotional impact.
