Megalopolis
Megalopolis is a spectacular visual feat (aside from a few scenes where you could notice shot with green/blue screens) , but it’s completely nonsensical—I couldn’t make sense of it at all. Catalina (Adam Driver), a design architect aiming to create a utopian space with his invention Megalon (a magical semi-metal thing) is opposed by the mayor and his cousin, Clodio. The mayor’s daughter, however, supports Catalina’s vision and they both fall in love eventually. Meanwhile, journalist Wow Platinum (Aubrey Plaza), obsessed with Caesar, has her eyes on his uncle’s property, then plotting to take his (uncle’s) fortune by teaming up with Clodio. The plot may sound simple, but the movie doesn’t make it look that way😅 Francis, while I must admit and applaud his vision, this movie is an absolute disaster.
