Idhayam Murali
Idhayam Murali, written and directed by Aakash Baskaran, is a pleasant feel-good romantic comedy that finds its footing through an engaging ensemble, relatable nostalgia, and a soothing musical backdrop. It doesn't attempt to reinvent the genre, but it delivers enough warmth to keep the journey enjoyable. The film opens on an interesting note in the present day before gradually travelling through the lives of its characters across the 80s, 90s, the early 2000s, and eventually back to the present. The story itself is fairly straightforward, yet its simplicity becomes its strength. The nostalgic settings, familiar emotions, and everyday moments are likely to resonate with audiences who have lived through those eras, allowing the first half to establish an easy emotional connection while maintaining a consistently entertaining rhythm. Atharvaa, Preity Mukundhan, Kayadu Lohar, Jonita Gandhi, Fahadh Faasil, Thaman, Niharika NM, Sudhakar Jeyaraman, and the supporting cast all fit comfortably
