Identity
Identity is a decent suspense thriller that leans heavily on an ice-thin plot and abundant style, which looks great for the most part. However, its slow pacing and an overstretched narrative—seemingly to amplify surprises (or at least to present them as such)—become major drawbacks. Tovino Thomas is outstanding, delivering a fabulous performance that leaves no room for doubt. I loved the stylized action sequence in the climax, but by that point, the overwhelming chaos had already made me wish for it all to just wrap up. The cinematography and background score are pivotal contributors to the film’s elevation and deserve full credit for their impact. Anas Khan and Akhil Paul did a fine job with the direction, but a tighter, more focused script could have elevated the movie experience significantly is what i felt.
