Eternity
Eternity is a beautiful rom-com by David Freyne set in a safe, otherworldly space where love is tested before eternity begins. I randomly started watching it, having completely forgotten that I’d ever seen the teaser or trailer, and was instantly hooked by the concept. The way this twisted love story unfolds is handled well, keeping you invested while slowly unpacking what forever really means (in different aspects obviously). I wish I could say more, but my thoughts on this film might keep growing with time. What stayed with me the most is its quiet belief that love which grows, changes, and deepens over time is far more powerful than any love that could’ve simply existed—or even been dreamed of. Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller steal the show with their incredible performances while Callum Turner, Da’vince Joy, John add great supporting cast. If you’re into slow-burn rom-coms with subtle drama, this one’s for you.
