Dude
Dude marks another comedy entertainer from Pradeep Ranganathan — a light-hearted rom-com with bits of emotion sprinkled throughout. The initial few minutes move a little slow, and the love angle setup feels somewhat rushed, mostly unconventional, but the film soon finds its rhythm with well-written humor and plenty of cheer-worthy moments (at-least small woo) till the interval. The second half although starts with the same energy, the added emotional beats in between act as speed breakers. Still, it manages to reach a okayish finish, even if slightly extended. Backed by Sai Abhayankar’s catchy songs and score, and delightful performances from Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha, Sharat, and the supporting cast, Dude lands as an enjoyable yet passable rom-com with enough laughs to keep you manageable. Also, Mamitha Baiju holds the screen; Aishwarya Sharma haunts it.
