Crime 101 is a stylish and well-crafted heist thriller that builds tension slowly, one scene at a time. The film doesn’t try to rush through the story. Instead, it takes its time to develop the mood and suspense, which makes many moments feel intense and gripping. However, by the time it ends, the emotional impact feels a little shallow, as if something more was expected from the conclusion. The performances are one of the film’s biggest strengths. Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Halle Berry deliver strong and convincing performances that keep the audience fully engaged throughout. The background score works well in several scenes and enhances the overall experience, adding depth to key moments. However, the chase sequences could have been executed better. It feels like the filmmakers were aiming for a realistic style, which is something I appreciate, but the way it was handled didn’t completely work and felt slightly underwhelming.
