Anaganaga Oka Raju turns out to be yet another hollow exercise from Sithara Entertainments. What makes this outing more disappointing is that Naveen Polishetty, despite being the film’s backbone as the lead actor, falters badly as its writer. This movie is clearly made as a family entertainer, where logic is supposed to take a backseat and emotions, love, and drama should do the work. Sadly, none of these things connect. The emotions feel unreal, the drama feels forced, and the film never really clicks. The first half is somewhat okay. There are a few decent laughs here and there, mostly because of Naveen’s timing and screen presence. But once the second half starts, the film becomes really hard to sit through. The comedy feels forced, the story becomes extremely predictable, and there’s nothing new or interesting happening on screen.
