8 Vasantalu unfolds like a poetic journey of love and the emotional hurdles that follow. Shot beautifully across exotic locations, the film impresses visually, thanks to Vishwanath Reddy’s commendable cinematography. However, it falters with a routine plot and a sluggish narrative, ultimately making it an average and forgettable experience. Avanthika Sanilkumar delivers a strong performance, effortlessly carrying this female-centric film on her shoulders. Director Phanindra shows flashes of brilliance in his writing, with a few deeply layered lines that strike a chord—though none linger long after. Unfortunately, the film stretches far more than needed, testing patience by the end. Hesham’s background score is serviceable but lacks the emotional depth he brought to Hi Nanna and Kushi. While some may appreciate the film’s tone and treatment, I fall into the category that didn’t quite connect with it.
